IBS can be correlated to Grahani roga in Ayurveda, symptoms of grahani roga includes abdominal pain and cramp, intermittent diarrhea and constipation, gas and bloating, food intolerance , fatigue and weakness. IBS can be caused due to anxiety. In Ayurveda, Grahani roga is caused due to the impairment of agni/digestive fire which is responsible for the metabolism of the food. Grahani is much more wider term it is the part of the organ which is not only responsible for digestion but it also holds the food untill the food gets digested completely. In Vcc Ayurveda, we aim at improving the weak digestive fire and also to digest the Ama dosha (undigested food).
