Paralysis

Also called: Hemiplegia, Paraplegia, Quadriplegia 

Paralysis means the loss of the normal muscle functioning of the body leading to disability. It can be partial or complete. It can occur on one or both sides. One, two or all the limbs may be affected by this condition. In paraplegia the lower limbs are affected and in quadriplegia all the limbs get paralysed.

Major reason could be due to strokes, injuries to the spinal cord and other diseases. In paralysis there is loss of sensory and motor function of the affected limbs.
